Ms. Ann Friedman - of Instaboner fame - made a pit stop in Lala Land during her cross-country road trip and of course we had to meet up for brunch. 

We talked about boners (and lack there-of), differences in US cities, Amina (also of Instaboner), male-female BFFs, and dependable Honda Accords. And those were only a few topics we discussed. Ann is firecracker and talkative and completely energetic. I love it. I can be a bit shy at times (I know no one will believe this), but there was never a dull moment and we just gabbed on and on.

We stood far from one another and were a bit hesitant at first; it’s like, we know each other, but mostly through blogging and e-mail. 

A little closer. Hugs are OK.

Oh, and can I say, it’s ALL about T-strap shoes! Ann’s are from UO and I have the same pair but in taupe. We were meant to meet!

Old Gabby was in a bit of a fashion slump, but then she happened upon this photo and all is well.

I just love hanging out at Memorial Garden. It’ so quiet. People just walk around and mind their own business. Except one creep who was following me around. He was probably thinking it was one of those kinds of parks. Nah, bitch.

Anyhow, I love this dress. I don’t know what it is about it that makes me keep it and never want to give it away EVER. Paired with my TopShop patent leather brogues and it’s perfect for a nice casual work day.

Oh, and a special shout-out to Instaboner who wrote I gave them a Fatshionista Boner. I thought I only gave other kinds of boners. wink wink. But seriously, this site knows the way to old corazones rojos’ heart. All talk about boners (of all kinds! Get your head out of the gutter!), Lady Gaga, Linda Ronstadt, Designing Women, and the use of the phrase “I want to go to there.” But my absolute faves are the Morning Wood: Stiff Links. I think I’m going to start off my days with checking out Instaboner so I can have my own baby boners. Morning wood check!!
